Sheremetievo Airport - Moscow connections

1. Public buses #851 and # 817
   

   One way fare - 4 Rubles
   Connects the airport and the nearest metro stations:
   

   • Rechnoi Vokzal (#851)
   • Planernaya (#817)
   Stops 30 meters away from the metro station entrance.
   Comes every 10 - 15 minutes. May get overcrowded occasionally.
   Airport - Moscow journey time: 45 - 50 minutes

2. Sheremetievo Express-Bus - Rechnoi Vokzal metro station

   Connects the airport and the nearest metro station Rechnoi Vokzal
   Stops 30 meters away from the metro station entrance.
   Comes every 20 minutes between 7. 30 - 21.30 ( 7 a.m. thru 9.30 p.m.)
   Airport - Moscow journey time: 20-25 minutes

3. Minibus Service (Avto-Line Bus Service)

   Connects the airport and the nearest metro station Rechnoi Vokzal
   Shared taxi type of service
   Not meant for lots of luggage: two or three cumbersome suitcases may cause problems
   One way fare - 15 - 20 Rubles, each piece of luggage - 8 or 10 Rubles
   Stops 40 meters away from the metro station entrance.
   Leaves every 10-20 minutes, depending how fast the passengers fill the vehicle
   Available between 7.00 and 22.00 (10.00 p.m.)
   Sheremetievo - Moscow journey time 20 - 25 minutes

   Minibuses for Aeroport and Planernaya metro stations are also available. The journey time 40-50 minutes.

4. Taxi. Warning!

   As risky as it is easy to find. We do not recommend taking numerous taxi offers from the people you do not know. It is most of the time either not safe or will all end up in a major(!) rip-off.

   Prearranged taxis normally present no problem

5. Sheremetievo - other airport connections

   No direct inexpensive connections available.
   Taxi is the only option if one wants to go fast and straight(see up #4, though).
   Otherwise, go to Moscow and get to or from your other airport from there (check the other airport directions sections).

Only available at Sheremetievo - 2. Left wing, next to the pharmacy. Open 24 hours a day. Except for two breaks at 8.45-9.15 a.m. and 19.45-20.15 (7.45 p.m.- 8.15 p.m)

Currency Exchange, ATM, Cash Machines
First floor and second floor. A few places. Most open 24 hours. Check for the best rate prior to actually exchanging your money.
